Modules 4 can be taken as a separate training providing you have completed modules 1-2,  or as part of the year-long training.

Module 4: Posterior and lateral sides of the legs

Massaging the back of the legs and gluteal muscles with hands and feet, leg stretches for the back of the legs and glutes, 

  • 4.1 Practise S3. Learn S4.1: Warming up the posterior and the lateral of the legs with the hands


  • 4.2 Practise S4.1. Learn S4.2: Warming up the posterior and lateral side of the legs with the feet, massaging the client’s feet, ankle stretch (dorsiflexion). Stretch the posterior and lateral side of legs (ballerina 1 and ballerina 3/reverse triangle stretch). 


  • 4.3 Practise S4.1 and S4.2. Learn S4.3 Deeper massage/pressure on the tendon of the adductors; mobilisation of the hip; more stretches for the posterior side of the legs; stretches and tractions for the adductors, knee, hip (the golfer, bent knee hip traction, ballerina 2, can-can, bent knee adductor stretch).


  • 4.4 Practise entire S4.1 through to S4.3. Put all module 4 materials in one sequence (S4), which students can then practice before coming to module 5.

Bonus materials: massaging the tendons of the back of the knee and traction of the knee (the garçon), rocking the legs with a lungi, rocking baby, plantarflexion, ankle rotation
