Our 2-day training modules can be taken individually or as part of our 300 hour therapist training. They are tailored to the group, which may include some revision and knowledge building of previous modules. Therefore they are best attended in sequence.

If this is not possible then module 1, is the only prerequisite for the rest of the training, though modules 1 and 2 are ideal. You can attend as many individual modules as you suits your needs. Some of these may include:

  • As part of your CPD. If you have already trained in other therapeutic modalities, including as a yoga teacher, and would like to add some AYM techniques to your existing practice.
  • To learn some AYM techniques and offer some treatments, but you are not planning to be a full time therapist in the near future.
  • As part of your AYM CPD. If you are fully qualified AYM therapist and wish to deepen your learning, we can also offer you a discount.
  • To dip your toes into the AYM technique and see if it is really for you before committing to a 300-hour training.

Here's what you'll get:

Module 6: Tailoring treatments to client needs

In this module we mainly practise consultations, designing treatment plans, putting our treatment plans to practice and adapting our plans during the treatment, based on how clients are responding. In this module students will mostly practise treatments on each other, so they get experience as therapists but also from a client’s perspective. We might also invite some external clients to receive treatments, depending on the experience of our participants, and adjusting to where they are/what they would benefit from the most at this stage of their learning journey. We can also revise techniques if requested by the students, as and when needed.

The objective of this module is to develop our connection with the client, critical thinking and intuition before and during a treatment, and also for developing a longer-term treatment plan for clients who are able to commit to several treatments.

The feedback from our students is that this is the most useful part of the training, where everything comes together. Students build confidence in their skills and learn to trust their knowledge and intuition.

When practising on peers or external clients, we can see the feedback improving over time for therapists from the beginning to the end of this module, even when our students are experienced therapists.
